Rachel Ames, MPT

Owner and Physical Therapist, Missoula Physical Therapy & Missoula OsteoStrong

Rachel Ames is a pioneering physical therapist and a champion of community health in Missoula, Montana. With over two decades of experience, Rachel holds a Master’s in Physical Therapy and a Bachelor's in Psychology, credentials that underpin her holistic approach to healthcare. Driven by a mission to foster a robust, active lifestyle among aging populations, 

 

Rachel earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology at Ohio University in 2001 and later went on to earn her Masters of Physical Therapy at Ohio State University in 2003.  After graduating she became a traveling physical therapist for over 3 years until settling in Missoula in 2007.   Rachel has a strong orthopedic clinical background with advanced training in manual therapy, dry needling and pelvic floor therapy.  Through both undergraduate and graduate work, she has realized the importance of a holistic approach in treating the physical component while also recognizing the need to care for the mental impact that is involved with every injury or disability.  In 2022, she also began the first OsteoStrong in Montana after learning about the profound benefits that it would bring to her patients as well as the community and her need to provide optimal health and wellness. Outside of work, Rachel enjoys spending time with her two daughters and husband, skiing, camping, rafting, cooking and much more!

Pam Nation MS, PT 

Physical Therapist

Pam chose PT as a second career because of an innate knowledge that strength and mobility can promote a healthier lifestyle.  Pam began her career in New Hampshire and usually considered herself a neurological PT, but life burgeons and now holds certifications in Breast Cancer recovery and Dry Needling,  as well as practicing visceral manipulation and  strong PT resources to address chronic pain, neuromuscular disorders.  Pam was a retired PT for six months and then realized she wasn’t finished with her career.  She returned to  work at Missoula PT, managing a small caseload of lovely people.   

Insurance & Cash

INSURANCE PLAN

We accept a wide variety of insurances!

Most insurance plans include coverage for your physical therapy visits. If you are unsure about the details of your plan, be sure to contact your insurance company before your physical therapy visit to verify your benefits including number of visits, deductible, out-of-pocket maximum, or if a referral is required.

 

It is the patient’s responsibility to understand your insurance coverage prior to your visit. Feel free to call us with any questions!

CASH-BASED PLAN

We also accept cash payments to cover your physical therapy visits. This might be the option if you don’t have insurance. 

 

  • 55 minute visit: $130

  • 40 minute visit: $100
